The World Endurance Championship will start next week at the Paul Ricard circuit, but certainly the medias does not have time to waiting.
After the great effort spent by Nissan for the presentation of the GT-R LM during the 2015 Super Bowl, the Japanese company has encountered numerous technical troubles first, and later in frontal crash tests (unconfirmed), that would force her to give the first meeting of the season.
Doubts on the potential involvement of P1 hybrid in the first events of the season, were already suggested after premature withdrawal from the tests of Sebring last week.
The default, officially caused by a mechanical problem not resolved on the track, it was most likely due to the lack of competitiveness shown by the GT-R LM compared to new Audi R18, testing simultaneously on the same track.
As stated by Darren Cox, boss of Nissan motorsport, in the next two months, the team will continue the development of the prototype on NCM Motorsports Park track in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and then line up the GT-R LM at Le Mans during the official test that will predate the week of 24 hours.
